"Joint Town Meeting"

On June 2, 2008, at 6:00pm there will be a Public Meeting at the Bath Middle School to vote on the proposed School Budget for RSU #1 (Lower Kennebec Regional School Unit - Arrowsic, Bath, Phippsburg, West Bath & Woolwich)

This is the first of a 2 step vote on the RSU #1 Budget.  The second vote will be by secret ballot on June 10, 2008 (see information and ballot question below).

State Referendum Question:

Do you favor a $29,725,000 bond issue for natural resource, agricultural and transportation infrastructure that will leverage $29,780,000 in other funds?

Municipal Ballot:

1 Selectman for a 3 year term:

  • Nelson, Paula J
  • Yacoben, Abigail Curtis
  • Write-In

RSU #1 Ballot:

Do you favor approving the Lower Kennebec River Regional School Unit budget for the upcoming school year that was adopted at the latest regional school unit budget meeting and that includes locally raised funds that exceed the required local contribution as described in the Essential Programs and Services Funding Act?

 

A “YES” vote allows additional funds to  be raised for K-12 public education. 

A “NO” vote means additional funds cannot be raised for K-12 public education.

All ATV trails are closed for use until May 15, 2008 due to Mud Season.  For more information contact the Over the Hill ATV Riders at 751-3557.

The West Bath Fire Department holds bingo every Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. at the Fire Station. Please come join us! All proceeds support the Volunteer Fire Department.

Curbside Recycling Schedule

Effective April 1, 2005, the service days for curbside recycling in West Bath is the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month. 

Effective February 2007 you no longer need to sort your recycling for curbside pick-up.
